Padró & Co: Five generations of wine passion

Since 1886, Padró & Co. has woven a history of passion for wine, rooted in Bràfim (Tarragona), at the time a small agricultural centre. Founded by Daniel Padró Porta and Rosa Valldosera, the first generation began selling wines and mistelas in carts and bocoyes, thus laying the foundations of the company.

The second generation, represented by Daniel and Juan Padró Valldosera, marked a milestone in the development of the company with the expansion of the spirits factory, inaugurating emblematic buildings in 1916 and 1932. The third generation, with Daniel Padró Armengol and Francisco Padró Busquets, made the bold decision to focus on the production and marketing of liqueur wines, marking the end of the production of brandy.

The fourth generation, led by Francisco, Daniel and Jose María Padró Armengol, introduced bottling of wines, breaking with the tradition of bulk wines. Today, the fifth generation continues this path, maintaining the essence of quality and dedication. They have modernized their oenological processes with technologies such as tangential filtration, they have expanded their vineyards and renovated their bottling facilities.
