Description
Barlovento, a smoky Stout
History:
In 1811, during the Napoleonic Wars, English captain George S. Goldroll managed to transport 800 gallons of Imperial Stout aboard the merchant ship Windward to the port of St. Petersburg. In doing so, he circumvented the continental blockade imposed by the French on British trade. After a perilous voyage along the Scandinavian coast, during which he weathered storms and avoided enemy ships and icebergs, he reached the court of the Tsars. This adventurous journey would give the Imperial Stout smoky and exotic notes that would make the beer exceptional. The heir to those epic voyages is BARLOVENTO, an intense and robust beer thanks to the smoky notes and the special touch of tonka bean that give it its unique character. Designed for true sailors, made to be enjoyed in a good glass, so that you can savor the thick cinnamon-colored foam and feel the complex, rich and deep flavor reach your senses.
